This is a special ticket for Wawel aficionados, who would like to spend many hours visiting all the exhibitions of the Wawel Royal Castle available on a given day, selected areas of Pieskowa Skała Castle: individual visit to the castle interiors, the new exhibition Old Polish Culture (Saturday, Sunday), and Stryszów Manor House.

Exceptionally, when purchasing the "Wawel for Enthusiasts" tour, a paper ticket must be collected on the day of the tour.

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before the tour begins.

PLEASE NOTE: From the 2nd of February till 6th of April 2026 the Stryszów Manor Museum will be closed.

Audio guides available as part of a paid ticket (regular, reduced).

An audio guide is available in English, Polish, Ukrainian, German, French, Italian and Spanish. We recommend the audio guide for visitors aged 12 and above..

This ticket is not recommended for families with young children (long visiting time, strollers are not permitted in the castles and manor, the Baggage Check is located in the Arcaded Courtyard). This ticket is not recommended for people with mobility issues

Castle 1st floor - Once reserved for the royal family and their courtiers and guests, these rooms hold Renaissance furnishings, Italian paintings from the Lanckoroński Collection, and Flemish tapestries from the holdings of King Sigismund II Augustus. Several rooms retain their original 16th-century painted wooden ceilings and friezes. the President of the Republic of Poland. Wawel’s collection of Meissen porcelain and table silver from the so-called Saxon period (1697–1763; Wettin kings Augustus II and Augustus III) are on view on this floor.

Castle 2nd floor - The spacious, high-ceilinged rooms on the second floor were used for ceremonial events. Sessions of the sejm and senate, royal audiences, and wedding receptions and balls were held in these grand rooms. Following a catastrophic fire in 1595, the east and north wings of the Renaissance residence built by the Jagiellons were renovated in the early Baroque style by architect Giovanni Trevano for King Sigismund III. Consequently, this part of the castle has Baroque furnishings. Further on the second floor of the Castle are presented trophies from the Battle of Vienna of 1683 and historic objects associated with King John III Sobieski, such as three magnificent Ottoman tents. (The Wawel collection of Ottoman tents is the largest in Europe.)

Wawel Recovered exhibition on view in the medieval interiors of a group of Gothic buildings on the north side of Wawel Hill focuses on Wawel's history from the Poland's loss of independence in 1795 to the present day. It tells the story of the trying period of the Partitions and Wawel was converted into an Austrian military stronghold. During this period, some medieval buildings were demolished and the once-splendid royal residence was turned into barracks for the occupying army. It is also the story of the castle's restoration.

The exhibitions of the route are located partly in the basement of the Castle, partly on its ground floor. The “Lost Wawel” exhibition encompasses the 10th/11th-century Rotunda of Sts. Felix and Adauctus (aka Blessed Virgin Mary), and the remains of the royal kitchens (16th c.) and coach house (16th/17th c.). Objects from archaeological digs, scale models of historical Wawel buildings, and a collection of Renaissance stove tiles are displayed. Stone sculptures and architectural details are on view in the lapidarium, which also includes 19th-century plaster casts of the carved stone decoration from the Wawel Cathedral’s Sigismund Chapel.

The Lapidarium - in the cellars of the royal palace presents a hitherto unexhibited collection of early modern architectural details and stone sculptures discovered during archeological excavations and preserved from the 19th century to the present day. For the first time, visitors will be able to see how the Renaissance residence was built, experience history hidden for centuries, and learn about the people to whom we owe the restoration of Wawel Royal Castle.

The price of the ticket includes an audio guide (for children over 7 years old). An audio guide will be available to visitors up to 14 years old upon request. The audio guide is only available for this route.

The device should be collected at the entrance to the exhibition Lost Wawel on the day of visit.

The Zwinger (“Międzymurze”) archaeological and architectural reserve is a new underground exhibition located in the western part of the Wawel Hill. The name of the exhibition refers to the space between the castle walls. In the case of the Wawel zwinger, the exhibition space is delineated by the interior and exterior walls of the late 18th-century fortifications. Between them are the ramparts exposed by archaeologists in the period spanning the 11th to 19th centuries. The name of the exhibition is also a tribute to the generations of Wawel archaeologists who referred to the area surrounding the Thieves' Tower and the Dragon's Den as a Zwinger during their surveys. The path leads directly over the limestone rock, over the chambers of the Dragon's Den. The walls tell the story of the hill itself, of ammonites and sponges floating in the warm sea, and of the creation of the cave, before moving on to Poland's most famous legend. The story of the Wawel Dragon in the medieval record of Wincenty Kadlubek also appears as part of the exhibition. There was no shoemaker in the oldest version of the famous legend, but a fierce battle - first with a monster, which is referred to as the Whole-Eater, and then against each other, fought by two brothers, the sons of King Krakus.
